Copyright and takedown policy

Public does not mean unrestricted
Content being publicly accessible does not erase copyright, privacy, publicity rights, or other legal restrictions. Users are responsible for how they download, store, republish, or distribute exported material.
Technical boundaries
SkyArchive only requests public content. It does not bypass logins, access controls, encryption, private-message systems, or DRM.
Report a concern
A rights-holder notice should identify the protected work, the public Bluesky URL, the relevant SkyArchive behavior, the reporter’s authority, and accurate contact information. Send notices to contact.skyarchive@proton.me.
Downloaded copies
SkyArchive cannot recall files users have already downloaded. The operator can investigate service misuse, remove indexed material under its control, restrict abusive access, and cooperate with valid legal processes.
Counter-notices and mistakes
A report can be incomplete or mistaken. SkyArchive may request additional information before taking action and may restore access when a complaint is withdrawn or shown to be invalid.
