SkyArchive
Bluesky image downloader

Download Bluesky images and full carousels in original quality.

One Bluesky post can contain several images. SkyArchive collects the complete public carousel and can keep the images beside a readable copy of the post so the files do not lose their context.

Save the entire carousel at once

Paste any public post in Single post mode and choose Media only. Every unique image in the post is placed into one ZIP in carousel order.

Original public image blobs

When the post record exposes the original AT Protocol blob, SkyArchive requests it directly from the author’s public data server instead of intentionally recompressing the image.

Keep alt text and source details

The complete archive preserves the visible post text, author, timestamp, source link, and image alt text in its document and structured JSON outputs.

Author thread collects image attachments from the original poster’s connected posts. Full conversation can collect images from public replies too.

Questions

Common questions

Does it support four-image posts?

Yes. It collects every public image returned for the post.

What file type will I receive?

The exporter preserves the public original type when available, commonly JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or AVIF.

Is image alt text included in the filename?

No. Filenames stay predictable and safe; alt text is preserved in the archive documents and JSON.

Can it access images from a private account?

No. Only publicly readable posts and media are supported.
