The submitted URL
The browser sends the public post reference to SkyArchive’s API, which resolves the post through Bluesky’s public services. Shared archive links intentionally place the public source URL in the share link.
The archive files
Document and ZIP assembly happens in your browser. The resulting file is delivered directly to your device; SkyArchive does not intentionally keep a copy of your completed archive.
Media retrieval
For original public blobs, the server resolves the author’s public AT Protocol data server. For fallback media, it proxies only validated public Bluesky media hosts with file-size and timeout limits.
Operational and product telemetry
The host can retain ordinary security and request logs. SkyArchive’s optional first-party product events contain an event name, page path, coarse status code, and application version—not the submitted Bluesky URL or post contents.
Advertising and analytics
Ad placements ship disabled. If advertising or Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, the privacy policy must identify the provider and any applicable consent mechanism before those scripts are activated.
No private access
SkyArchive does not bypass authentication, encryption, blocks, moderation, or access controls. If content is not publicly readable, the tool should fail rather than circumvent the restriction.

Common questions
Does SkyArchive store my Bluesky password?
No. It never asks for one.
Does it keep a history of URLs in my browser?
Version 1.2 does not intentionally maintain a recent-URL list in local storage.
Can Cloudflare see network requests?
As the hosting provider, Cloudflare may process standard request and security information necessary to operate the service.
Are ads active now?
No. The code contains clearly separated, disabled ad placements that can be enabled only after an ad provider approves the site and the privacy setup is complete.
